2. What data we collect

We may collect: (a) Contact and enquiry data — when you use our contact form, call or email us we may collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, service interest, timeline and message; (b) Project and contract data — names, addresses, contact details and project details when you engage our services; (c) Website and device data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and similar technical data when you use our website (including via cookies and similar technologies, and when we use third‑party tools such as Meta Pixel).

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: respond to your enquiries and provide quotes; perform our contract with you (design, installation, follow‑up); manage our business and improve our services; send you service-related communications where necessary; and, where you have consented or we have a legitimate interest, to send you marketing (e.g. offers, project ideas) by email or phone. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising and your data

We may use Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising. This section explains how your data may be used in that context.

• Meta Pixel and similar tools: Our website may use Meta Pixel (or similar technologies) provided by Meta. When you visit our site, Meta may receive information such as your IP address, browser data and pages viewed. Meta uses this to show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram, to measure ad effectiveness and to build audiences. Meta’s use of this data is governed by Meta’s own Data Policy and terms, which we do not control.
• Custom Audiences and matching: We may provide Meta with hashed versions of contact details (e.g. email, phone) of people who have enquired or contracted with us, so that Meta can match them to user accounts and show our ads to those people or to "lookalike" audiences. This is done in a privacy‑conscious way (hashing) and in line with Meta’s Custom Audiences terms. You can control how Meta uses your data for ads in your Facebook/Instagram ad settings.
• We are not Meta: We do not control how Meta collects, uses or shares data. For Meta’s practices, see Meta’s Data Policy. You can also use Meta’s ad preference tools to limit or opt out of certain ad targeting.

If you do not want your data used for Meta advertising in this way, you can: avoid submitting your contact details to us for marketing purposes; use your browser or device settings to limit cookies/tracking; and use Meta’s own controls to manage ad preferences and opt outs.

5. Sharing your data

We may share your data only as needed with: (a) service providers who help us run our business (e.g. email hosting, website hosting, CRM); (b) Meta (as described above) for advertising and analytics when we use Meta’s tools; (c) professional advisers or authorities when required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your data. We require processors to keep your data secure and use it only as we instruct.

6. Legal basis and retention

We process your data on the basis of: performing our contract with you; your consent (e.g. marketing); and our legitimate interests (e.g. responding to enquiries, improving our services, running our business, and using Meta for advertising where we have a legitimate interest in promoting our services). We keep your data only as long as necessary — e.g. for the duration of our relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, accounting or complaint-handling purposes. Enquiry data may be retained for several years for follow‑up and marketing (where permitted); you can ask us to delete or stop using it at any time.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; rectification of inaccurate data; erasure in certain cases; restrict or object to certain processing; data portability where applicable; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it.
